The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Announced For Wii U
Dreams Do Come True
Have you read the title? Good. Then you know what this means. Yes, I never thought this day would come either, but Nintendo has announced that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is being remade for the Wii U in glorious high-definition.
Call your loved ones.
Towards the end of the Nintendo Direct EU conference, Satoru Iwata handed the floor to Eija Aonuma, Producer of The Legend Of Zelda series. Aonuma went on to state that after showing off the Zelda Wii U demo back at E3 2011, the team had been experimenting with upgrading past titles in the series as they continued to consider graphical styles for the new game.
The team felt that Wind Waker in HD wasn’t just a simple upgrade, but a transformation into something entirely new.
Aonuma admitted that because the next iteration in the series will take some time to produce, the team wanted to give fans something to play in the meantime. To compensate for this, Wii U owners can look forward to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, which is scheduled to release in the fall.
Not only have the graphics been reworked for the Wii U system, but the overall game experience has been tuned up. Players will also be able to experience Link’s most charming adventure entirely on the GamePad with off-screen play included.
