Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Gets Retail Version on April 30th
Downloadable Version Has Been Hugely Successful
The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft will be soon be sold in stores as a boxed product, Microsoft has announced.
It’ll arrive on shelves in the US for $19.99 on April 30th then heads to Australia, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan. There’s no word yet on a UK or European release.
This boxed version will be identical to the one available on Xbox Live as an Arcade game and will support multiplayer connectivity. All DLC released for Minecraft will be available for the retail version, too.
Microsoft currently has a exclusivity deal for Minecraft on consoles, although there have recently been reports that the sandbox game could be headed to PlayStation once the deal expires.
