Microsoft’s Surface Tablet – Out October 26th

Release Date Surfaces

Microsoft’s iPad rival, ‘Surface’, is set for release on October 26th, 2012. The Windows 8 powered tablet launches on the same day as the new OS itself, with the Pro version of the tablet releasing 90 days later.

“The next version of our operating system, Windows 8, will be generally available on October 26, 2012. At that time, we will begin selling the Surface, a series of Microsoft-designed and manufactured hardware devices,” Microsoft reaffirmed in an SEC filing spotted by CNET.

There’s a lot to like about Surface; a clever touch type keyboard, the ability to use the device as desktop and a surprisingly slick design make up an appealing package for tech lovers and those who are searching for a true alternative to the iPad.
