It’s Official: Assassin’s Creed IV Is On The Way

Take To The High Seas In Ubisoft’s Latest

After several days of leaks and speculation, Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

The publisher has released the game’s official box art along with the statement: “We confirm that Ubisoft will announce all the details of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag on Monday March 4th at 5pm GMT.”

Various leaks have emerged over the last few days suggesting the game will be set during 1715 in the Caribbean, with Jamaica, Cuba and the Bahamas among the islands that will be visited.

An Examiner report claims the game’s main character is Edward Kenway, father of Haytham Kenway from Assassin’s Creed 3, who is an Assassin and known Privateer.

The game will be released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U and PC. The PS3 version will receive “60 minutes of exclusive gameplay”, according to the box art.

A release date has not yet been announced.
