Gears of War: Judgment Demo Arrives 19th March
Earlier Access to Those Who Pre-Ordered From US Retailer GameStop
If you’re reading this post and you’re not from the United States, prepare for a slight feeling of injustice. Major Nelson has announced that a demo for the upcoming Gears of War: Judgment is making it’s way to Xbox LIVE. Here are the details:
If you’ve pre-ordered the game from US outlet, GameStop, then you can access the demo from the 15th March with the full game due to be released in North America on the 19th. Live outside of the US however, and you can access the demo on the 19th, with the full game released in the UK on the 22nd. You’ll need an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership and 2GB of free storage, too.
Also, those who have pre-ordered from GameStop will have their XP earned in the demo carried over to the full game, allowing them to get the jump on everyone else in terms of unlocks and achievements. These special few will also receive an exclusive “Young Marcus” character skin and Lambent weapon skin.
The demo will feature the new OverRun game mode, in which five players battle for objectives. The game will also feature class-based multiplayer for the first time in Gears of War, a norm in most competitive multiplayer since Call of Duty 4.
