Bungie To Reveal Destiny On The 17th Feb

Social Networks Set Up In Preparation

Bungie will reveal their next universe, Destiny, on the 17th February. The news was announced on Twitter account @DestinyTheGame. The tweet read: “You can be the first to see the reveal of #Destiny right here on Feb. 17 (T-Minus 5 days).”

The developer wrote in a post on its website earlier in the day:

“In a matter of days, we’re going to give you your first glimpse into the vision and ambition that’s driving the creation of our brave new world.  To make room for the resulting chatter, we’ve launched some official social media channels.  There’s a new Destiny page to like on Facebook, a new Destiny feed to follow on Twitter, and a new Destiny page on Google+.  And, of course, we’ve opened a new Destiny forum here on Bungie.net where you can discuss upcoming news.”

We have known that Bungie’s next game will be titled Destiny for some time, after some legal documents were leaked. It was also revealed last year that Marty O’Donnell who helped to create the iconic music to Halo is working with ex-Beatle Paul McCartney on Destiny.

The game is rumoured to be released later this year on Xbox 360, with a release on PlayStation 3 coming in 2014.
